Does the peak of the night land on the headliner’s own record?

Crowd response is ranked first; the record playing at that moment is attached afterwards and never influences the ranking. Because the two are arrived at separately, agreement between them is corroboration rather than a circular check.

Null result

Following one unreleased record from floor to floor: not yet

An unreleased record can spread through a scene for months before it has a name. Recognising the same one turning up on a second floor is the hardest thing on our list, and on these nights we have nothing we are prepared to stand behind. So we are publishing nothing, rather than something.

Open problem

Knowing exactly where one record ends and the next begins

A DJ set has no gaps. Two records overlap for a minute at a time, which makes the boundary between them genuinely ambiguous — and it is the limit on how finely a night can be read. We would rather name it as an open problem than let it quietly round off the edges of everything else.
